Description
A three-piece bone china set inspired by Giselle, the romantic ballet by Adolphe Adam first staged in Paris in 1841: a 165 ml (5.6 fl oz) cup, its saucer and a 150 mm (5.9") cake plate. Made on the May shape at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St Petersburg.
The decoration is painted by hand and finished with 22-karat gold, so hand washing is recommended. It pairs well with the Swan Lake and Spartacus sets for a small ballet collection.
