LOMONOSOV IMPERIAL BONE CHINA PORCELAIN ESPRESSO CUP MAY RUSSIAN WRITERS: PUSHKIN 165 ml 5.6 fl.oz

  • $53.00

A coffee set from the Russian Writers collection is dedicated to Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Pushkin's poetic gift flourished in Tsarskoye Selo: it was this place that the poet especially honored and mentioned in many of his works. As the main decorative motif of the coffee pair, Sergei Sokolov uses the silhouettes of the writer in the gardens of Tsarskoye Selo, the Chesmenskaya Column, as well as the goose quill, with which the masterpieces of the “sun of Russian poetry” were written. On the saucer, the artist placed lines from the poem "October 19", dedicated by Pushkin to the day of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum:

Wherever fate decrees that we must go,
Wherever fortune leads us by the hand,
We're still the same: the world a foreign land,
Our mother country — Tsarskoye Selo.
(Translated by Donald Michael Thomas)

The coffee set will be a perfect gift for tea and coffee lovers and a perfect addition to any porcelain drinkware collection.
