A coffee set from the Russian Writers collection is dedicated to Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky. As the main decorative motif, Sergei Sokolov uses the silhouettes of the writer and the buildings of St. Petersburg, a city whose image plays an important role in Dostoevsky's works. In the design of the saucer, Sergei Sokolov unexpectedly presents a quote from Dostoevsky's life-affirming Petersburg Chronicle - feuilletons published in the Saint Petersburg Vedomosti in the middle of the 19th century: “There is something so good-natured and naive in a Petersburg’s citizen who decides to enjoy the spring that one cannot help but share his joy”.
